On a sunny, HOT Saturday afternoon, Commodore Peggy Ball and the 2000 Board members (Rear Commodore Candy Clevenger, Vice Commodore Debby Zimmerman, Commodore Peggy Ball, Treasurer Nabil Dubraque, Secretary Mary Lynn Snowman, and PRYCA Delegate Jay Wilmeth) officially declared the OYC boating season OPEN. It was a terrific afternoon, thanks to the hard work of the OYC members who organized the event, sweated over barbecue grills, brought side dishes, kept those trash cans full of cold beverages, and helped with cleanup afterward!
