OYC Labor Day Weekend Cruise to Coles Point, August 29-Sept. 1, 2003

Thanks to everyone who participated in the OYC Labor Day Weekend Cruise to Coles Point. We had a huge turnout and a great mix of new members, brand-new members, "old" members, and returning charter members. As you can see from the pictures, we had a lot of fun. If you have any pictures you'd like to share, send them to Liz Kalweit (LizKalweit@aol.com), and we'll post them for you.

Thanks to Maury Shumaker and Tom Coldwell for these pictures. We hope you enjoy them.

Seafood Buffet

The seafood buffet at the Pilot's Wharf Restaurant lived up to its reputation. The food was delicious! We warned the kitchen staff that we were coming, and they responded by preparing tons of food for us. I don't think they counted on us showing up en masse, though! Nevertheless, the staff was gracious, and we had a wonderful time.

Volleyball Contest

We brought back an old favorite, the "Gas versus Diesel" volleyball tournament. It was a spirited, close contest, with Diesel winning during the third game. Congratulations, Diesel! If you missed the game, I sure wish I had some pictures to show you. Maybe someone out there will send some to me or Ned for posting ...

Cookout

We enjoyed the use of the rec room, and the outdoor gas grills, for our combination happy hour and cookout. We especially enjoyed toasting Walt and Susan Cheatham's 35th wedding anniversary!
