The first real cruise of the season was to Pt. Lookout on the St. Marys River. A few members canceled with excuses like "I am waiting for my new boat to be delivered," or "My fly bridge is not on yet," or "There was too much wind in the slip."
A few hardy souls rafted up in Aquia Creek on Friday and were able to view a beautiful sunset that evening. Snarlin Marlin, Hot Schatz and Impulse spent an uneventful night. As always, Jess and Ned had the honey wagon detail the next morning.
On the way down river, some boats stopped to fish. Everyone kept an eye on their chart and enjoyed a good run. That is, until we got near the St. Marys River. 3-4 footers were reported with water over the bow.
Saturday night a spontaneous dock party broke out complete with a bucket of margaritas. On Sunday night, we all cooked out, enjoying the weather and all the food to share. A few members had a little too much and left the party early.
Later that evening, we all celebrated Dave Moore's birthday with a large bonfire and visit to the old folks home to share cake and a clean drool cup with our members.
